Christmas In July!

I told you I had a project for those vinyl letters!

I've had this vintage sifter for a while. It wasn't selling so I knew it needed a bit of work. I think she's quite a beauty now.

I love how the picks look frozen. The red and green ones remind me of rock candy which ties into the kitchen theme of the sifter. Vintage Christmas balls make great filler.

$1.50 and A Little Bit of Paint

On my way home from dropping #1 Son a.k.a. Mr. Happy off at soccer camp my daughter and I stopped at a yard sale. This was good because I've been having a bit of withdrawal! Each item pictured above was $0.50. Awesome!
Determined to complete at least one project per day I busted out the spray paint and took Mr. Bird from tacky brass to mod white in a few short hours of dry time. Now he's a bit Jonathan Adler(j'adore him)-esque don't you think?
The red vinyl letters got used in a project today as well but I'm saving that for another post...
What have you found lately?

On Your Toes Please!

Isn't she lovely?!!!!!!!!!

I've had the idea for this for quite some time and had to wait for the luck of the "find". This sweet dancer appeared last week at the church thrift shop. She had some damage above her head. I knew EXACTLY which earring I wanted to use to spruce her up.

Ah, a little glitter, a little bling...Dance on pretty lady!

Linking this pretty lady up with Room to Inspire. Head on over and check it out.
