Extavaganza Thoughts & Another Sale

My mind is a junque jumble (although this is usually the case).

The weekend Springfield Extravaganza was awesome. Overall pleased with the results and I think I have a better idea of things to do for the September show. Great response to my repurposed/upcycled finds, many comments about how I should do Country Living (ah, how I wish) and some really pleasant encounters.
Auction purchase cabinet door, thrifted wreath, yard sale brass butterflies which I painted and glittered. This little vignette is currently on my porch - I can't show you Extravaganza photos because I took, NOT ONE SINGE ONE. Nope. Nada. Zip. I was swamped on Friday and on my own.
Young Captain America joined me for the weekend and we were too busy enjoying ourselves (truly the best part of the weekend because he is 10 and ANY TIME that he is willing to spend with me being his funny snarky (not obnoxious sarcastic/sullen) self is a gift. Worth booth fee right there! He scored some sweet street signs for his new collection and practiced his negotiating skills making me one proud mama!

Awesome beauty salon chair in aqua. AQUA!!!!!!!!! How did this not sell?!!! I don't get it. Just don't get it...

And for those of you who didn't make it to Springfied and/or have not junked enough (as if that is EVER possible), the lovely Sue of Sullivan and Murphy is having a Vintage Finds sale this weekend in Waynesville. Do stop in and check out her junk!! I'm looking forward to heading out and seeing what she's got myself.

All right, I'm off to paint more chalkboard tags. I have SO MANY ideas for what to bring/make for September! And there is an auction calling my name...

Thanks so much for posting this, Carrie! I hope it goes well. I won't be hauling ALL my "finds" over to Waynesville, but I'm hoping to sell enough "junque" to make room around the house. See ya this weekend. :-) Sue

that chair is FAB!!!!!! wow. I'm so glad the show was successful and not a repeat of the school one. : / My mom used to have those butterflies in our house growing up. Love the glittered look. The lady at the booth next to me in my last sale used some of those and made them into spring fairy wands. ;) just passing along an idea? (he he) thanks for sharing at Transformations and Treasures!
